Ramona Chang Biography
Ramona Chang is a life long resident of Bay Area. She attended local Oakland Public Schools and schools in Hawaii. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing and Post Graduate work in Statistical Programming for the Social Sciences. Ramona was a top producer in Life and Health Insurance. She was the number one (1) agent out of one thousand (1000) agents nationwide her first year in insurance sales. In the banking industry she excelled developing commercial accounts. She also was in Marketing and Sales for Fortune 100 companies.
She has been actively involved in local charities such as Big Sisters as the editor, a Vita Tax Preparer, and KQED TV, as an on camera spokesperson and docent.
Ramona has always been involved with her industries’ trade associations. For the real estate industry she has held officer positions: Women’s Council of Realtors as President and Vice President for the Oakland Association of Realtors. She was the Public Relations Chair for Alameda Park Street Association and City of Alameda. She was the 2010 President of the Asian Real Estate Association.
Ramona Chang began her career in real estate as a child because her parents were real estate brokers, like herself. Her real estate experience spans over four (4) decades and four (4) states. California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Hawaii. Ramona was appointed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to represent them from 1994-1998. Her expertise is in financial analysis of income property and property management. She has the following designations: Certified Residential Brokerage, Certified Residential Sales Specialist, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, Real Estate Cyberspace Specialist, Certified Distressed Property Expert and Leadership Graduate. National Certified Minority Diversity Supplier. 2010 she was on the Professional Standards Committee for CRB and in 2011 she was appointed to NAR National Housing Policy Committee.
